Question:

I am looking into the process of filing for bankruptcy and need to know if my first payment would be due on application or the following month. Thank you for your time.

Answer:

The answer will totally depend on your income level and whether you have surplus. Generally surplus is paid on the 10th of the month following the date you file. If there is no surplus then a deposit is normally required in the amount of the first payment - usually $215.00.
